He went straight to the receptionist to demand to see the boss, but before he could open his mouth to talk, the small man addressed him.
"Hello, young man"
"Yes?" Dele responded. He didn't bother to turn to the man.
"You didn't greet anyone when you came in..."
"Why should I greet you? You are not my dad neither am I here to see you." He interrupted rudely while turning his face to brazenly measure the man with his eyes from head to toe. His eyes were narrowed in anger.
"Well, this is Yorubaland. We greet. It is expected for the sake of courtesy and good manners to greet people." Small man patiently explained.
Dele ignored the man and turned to face the receptionist; raising his voice for the benefit of the small man. As usual, he did not bother
to greet her. Why greet her? Isn't she just a receptionist?
"Soon, I will be her superior." He thought.
"I'm here to see Barr. Ayodeji. I am Dele Alaileko, his friends' son."
"He should be expecting me." He added arrogantly.
The smirk on the receptionist's face was unmistakable as she responded to Dele. Her response would change his life and mentality forever.
"You just met him." She said simply.
