THE LIVING DEAD 1

The 7th of May 2006 was a cold day with really gloomy weather in the city of Hopkinsville.

It has been drizzling since daybreak and it is yet to stop. It’s typical of a day when most people would prefer to stay indoors except they have a serious and unavoidable engagement.

Most people would be indoors but not Mr Resilien. Mr Resilien had been standing at the same spot on Rest avenue since about 30 minutes ago. With a warm smile and an affectionate “ How is your day going?”, he hands out leaflets to passers-by.

The leaflets are actually tracts containing the gospel message of divine love and redemption. Although most people did not bother to grant him the slightest glance or even expend effort to stretch forth their hands to collect the tracts, Mr Resilien seems to be unperturbed. He genuinely cares for these people and he knew many of them to lack the comfort of the divine love in their hearts.

After about two hours of handing out tracts and sometimes being ignored. He retired for the day. He will be back tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. He had been standing at the same spot handing out tracts every day for the past 8 years.
